Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cithera, a voice-first productivity app ("Cithera", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use Cithera.
1. Who can use Cithera
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use Cithera only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
2. What Cithera does
Cithera turns voice recordings you make into transcriptions and derived items (notes, tasks, objectives, reflections, reminders). Features and limits may vary by plan and may change over time.
3. Your content
You own the content you create in Cithera. You grant us a limited license to process, store and transmit it solely to provide and improve the service (for example, sending audio to our transcription and AI providers). We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your content to train third-party AI models.
4. Recording other people
Cithera is designed for capturing your own thoughts and work. If you record other people, you are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required by the laws that apply to you and to them. Do not use Cithera to record anyone without the consent the law requires.
5. AI output — no guarantees
Cithera uses automated speech-to-text and AI to extract tasks, dates and other items. These results can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing important items. Cithera does not provide professional, medical, financial or legal advice; any coaching or reflection prompts are for general informational purposes only.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Cithera, including: breaking the law; infringing others’ rights; uploading malware; attempting to bypass usage limits, security or authentication; reverse-engineering the service; or using it to harass or harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or generate anomalous activity.
7. Plans, subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are sold as auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase and the subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
Cithera, its software, design, logo and brand are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don’t grant you any right to our trademarks or software beyond using the app as intended.
10. Disclaimers
Cithera is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cithera and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you use the free plan, to a nominal amount permitted by law).
12. Termination
You can stop using Cithera and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service. You can request deletion of your account and data in the app or by email.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Cithera after changes take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you another venue.
