Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Cithera ("we", "us") is a voice-first productivity app that turns what you say into organized notes, tasks, objectives and reflections. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: cithera.ai@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name and email when you create an account, or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple / Google.
- Content you create: voice recordings you make in the app, their transcriptions, and the notes, tasks, objectives, reflections (learnings/insights), folders and tags derived from them.
- Optional device data: with your permission, calendar access (to add reminders for your tasks) and contacts (to match names of people you mention). You can deny or revoke these at any time in iOS Settings.
- Usage & technical data: basic usage and error/diagnostic information to keep the app working and to enforce fair-use limits.
How we use your information
- To transcribe your voice and extract tasks, objectives, reminders and reflections.
- To store and organize your content so you can access it across sessions.
- To send you reminders and planning nudges you've enabled.
- To operate, secure, debug and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train third-party AI models.
Service providers
To deliver the app we share data with processors that act on our behalf:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — hosting and database (where your account and content are stored).
- Cloudflare — secure API edge that routes audio for processing.
- Groq — speech-to-text transcription of your recordings.
- Anthropic — extracting tasks/objectives/reflections from the transcript.
- Sentry — error and crash diagnostics.
- Apple / Google — sign-in and (optional) calendar integration.
Audio is sent to our transcription provider to convert speech to text; we retain your transcriptions and the items derived from them, not long-term copies of the raw audio.
Storage & security
Your data is stored on our servers (Oracle Cloud). Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access requires authentication, and auth tokens are stored securely on your device.
Recording other people
Cithera is designed to capture your own thoughts and work. If you choose to record other people, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required by the laws that apply to you and to them.
Your choices & data deletion
You can edit or delete your notes, tasks, objectives and reflections in the app. You can also delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or email cithera.ai@gmail.com and we'll process it.
Children
Cithera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
